A proper restoration always follows a clear structure. At Bavarian Old School every project is organised in three main phases.

Every restoration project at Bavarian Old School follows this structured process to ensure quality, originality and long-term value.

Phase 1 — Disassembly and Preparation

The first step is carefully dismantling the vehicle.

All components are removed, inspected and sorted. Parts that can be restored are preserved, while damaged components are documented and prepared for repair or replacement.

At this stage the car is also prepared for bodywork and paint restoration.

This phase is critical because it allows us to understand the real condition of the vehicle and plan the restoration correctly.

 

Phase 2 — Bodywork, Paint and Interior Restoration

Once the car is fully disassembled, the structural work begins.

This phase includes:

• bodywork restoration
• rust repair and metal work
• professional paint preparation and painting
• restoration of interior components
• upholstery and trim restoration when necessary

The goal is to bring the car back to its correct visual and structural condition while preserving its character.

 

Phase 3 — Reassembly and Final Inspection

After the body and interior work is completed, the car is carefully reassembled.

All mechanical components are checked, adjusted and installed again. During this phase we verify that everything functions as it should — from drivetrain components to small interior details.

Before the car is considered complete, the entire vehicle is inspected to ensure that the restoration meets the expected standard.

Bavarian Old School offers restoration project management, coordinating specialists, sourcing parts and supervising each stage of the work.
